On October 25, Madrid's Ukrainian community and the Rotary family invite everyone to join a flower-planting and fundraising day for Rotary's PolioPlus program — marking World Polio Day (October 24). The event will take place in the garden of the Ukrainian Orthodox Parish of Saint Prince Volodymyr in Madrid.
Participants can purchase a flower with a voluntary donation of any amount and plant it in the parish garden. Funds raised go to PolioPlus, Rotary's program dedicated to fighting polio.
The event is held to mark World Polio Day (October 24). Every flower is a voluntary contribution to Rotary's PolioPlus program, working toward a world free of polio.
Rotary Club Madrid Intercontinental Passport and its Board, Rotary District 2201, the Ukrainian Orthodox Parish of St. Prince Volodymyr, and the "Moloda Ukraina" Association (serving Madrid's Ukrainian community since 2010). Rosa Eva Señas is also part of the organizing team.
The organizers invite everyone to come with family and friends, take part in the planting, offer their skills, or help spread the word about the event. Every contribution and every bit of help counts. Those who can't attend in person can still take part with a direct donation through Rotary's official polio-eradication page.
Open to everyone — families, neighbors and friends of the club. Free to attend, with a voluntary donation per flower.
